This partnership is with Microsoft’s HoloLens, a developer-only product that delivers an augmented reality experience, allowing the user / wearer to interact with high-definition holograms.
Pop on a pair of ‘HoloLenses’ and you’ll be able to see a lot more than the world around you. This technology integrates reality with 3D holograms, merging images over what’s right there in front of you.
Think Pokemon Go, but in wearable form, and with waaay more potential.
Microsoft is calling HoloLens “Mixed Reality” and promoting its ability to blend the digital with the real world. You’ll be able to interact with Hololens as it tracks your gaze, your gestures and even your voice.
It is now available in a development version, with Microsoft inviting the technologically minded to find out just what they can do with the device.
When HoloLens hits the mainstream it will be useful for things like virtual tours, creating models at scale, interactive entertainment, education and much, much more. Developers are working on applications in the movie, car, architecture and the gaming industries, just to name a few.

Quixxi is now a certified partner with Microsoft and is developing products based on the industry giant’s technology.
Thanks to our partnership, Quixxi Analytics is the first analytics tool worldwide that is able to integrate with HoloLens. This means that developers working on applications for HoloLens will have the opportunity to track usage and engagement from the moment they’re released into the marketplace.
With Microsoft’s support, Quixxi will now be introduced not only to the HoloLens Developer Community, but to a number of Australian businesses that are interested in leveraging this up and coming product.
After meeting with Microsoft Australia’s MD Pip Marlow, Quixxi’s CEO Giuseppe Porcelli explains, “Technology is the challenge for the future. The partnership between Quixxi and Microsoft is an extraordinary opportunity to transform a vision into something real, to transform the world with the power of new technologies like Quixxi and HoloLens.”
Quixxi’s advanced technology enables it to provide detailed analytics for Mobile (iOS and Android), Web (Html5), Augmented Reality (360 Video, HoloLens), the Internet of Things and other platforms such as XBox, PlayStation and Apple TV.
