Lakeba’s Patrick Reiss returned last week from the MUST event in Munich where we presented on our well established Cyber Security solution.
Our presence at the event was part of a formal invitation to participate as one of 120 start-ups from 23 countries. This year MUST attracted over 300 delegates from all corners of the globe including Mexico, France, UK, US, and Taiwan and Australia, amongst others.
The event provided an important conduit for our team to meet with some of Europe’s leading companies and start-ups all focused on innovation excellence. For the Quixxi business, it was an excellent opportunity to present to an audience of Europe’s industry leaders and investors and foster relationships and partnerships with leading German companies.
During the MUST conference we had the opportunity to hear from automotive giants in the developer world such as BMW, Volkswagen Group, and technology giants including Intel, Dell, Adidas, and Siemens.
The rise and rise of AI was also a dominating topic and featured in much of the technology on show. As mentioned, there was a strong focus on the automotive industry and a presentation from BMW Board Member Peter Schwarzenbauer was one of the highlights. He noted the future in the automotive industry is connected cars and autonomous driving.
Patrick’s presentation on the continued success and strength of our cyber security solution generated much interest for the European delegates attending the conference as cyber security continues to present huge challenges for the automotive industry. The hacking of Tesla’s Model S was still a hot topic given the hackers encore attack in August last year and gave us a useful conversation starter with the leading automobile companies we met with.
With over 20 million+ developers looking to incorporate new technologies such as blockchain to build better and ship faster, and data showing that 90% of vulnerabilitiesi stem from the application level, it was not surprising that Patrick had a willing audience when he spoke about our cyber security solution on the Quixxi platform.
Last but not least, the opportunity to connect and engage with other startups is always valuable – this is a rich community and a great source of information and shared knowledge. It was a well organised event and a worthwhile investment of our time. We’re actively driving expansion of the Quixxi network of customers and this forum was valuable for opening those doors.
We look forward to being part of MUST in 2019!
